This is the small story about ‘Nisargayan.’ Friends, Nisargayan is an exercise in actual experiencing of our ONENESS with Mother Nature. A batch of 24 Trainee Officers (22 Medical Officer, 1 Scientist & 1 Administrator) of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vidarbha Administrative & Development Training Institute (Prabodhini), Amravati participated in a one day workshop organized by Prabodhini Amravati, Forest Department & Disha Foundation, Amravati.

Tiger is asking..? Mera kya hoga..? Save me..!  and The Butterfly is saying ‘be with Nature.’       
This workshop on Wildlife and Environment Awareness during the Foundation  training programme for the officers (21 of them were highly qualified doctors) from the Ministry of Ayush. In this workshop, these officers keenly observed mammals, birds, butterflies & spiders under the guidance of wildlife Conservationist Mr. Yadav Tarte Patil in Pohra Malkhed Reserved Forest. A total of 17 species of trees, 37 species of birds, 17 species of butterflies & 11 species of spiders were observed. In ‘Nisargayan’ we also focused on how green administration is important nowadays, biodiversity and its importance, the role of biodiversity in the balance of nature, the lifestyle of butterflies & spiders etc. Some interesting competitions were also held during this workshop. In the face painting competition, the officers drew pictures of Tiger, Butterfly, Theme of Save Nature and Zebra respectively. In the collage competition, replicas of butterflies, aquatic ecosystem etc. were created.

The purpose of  ‘Nisargayan’ is to create oneness with nature, while working in the Administrative Services. At this time, the Director of Prabodhini Mrs. Ritika Narula (I.E.S.) also provided guidance. She expressed that this workshop has created a sense of unity, team spirit and creativity among the trainees. Prof. Sharad Patil (O.S.D., Prabodhini) gave his valuable guidance as far as Nature & Spirituality is concern. This workshop was organized at Bamboo Garden, Amravati in January 2020. We are also thankful to Prof. Pankaj Shirbhate, Shri. Anirudhha Patil, Shri. Pandharkar Sir, Shri. Gaikwad, Shri. Prashant, Shri. Swagat & all Prabodhini staff, volunteers from Disha Foundation, who worked hard to make this workshop successful. My special thanks to DyCF Gajendra Narvane (IFS), Shri. Ashish Kokate (RFO), Shri. Kailash Bhumbar (RFO) Shri. Saiyad Salim (RFO) Shri. Rajesh Ghagre (RO), Shri. Bawane (RO) Shri. Iqbal (Forest Guard ) Shri. Atul Dhaskat (Forest Guard) )& all staff of Forest Department.

  5. Good start by Amravati division. Transformation process from two ends are needed.
    One from childhood. Dishaa and other various organizations are already doing.
    Second from administrator level. This will definitely change their perceptions toward mother nature. And administrative officers have tremendous potential to transform society.

It was a great experience of life time to the crime we are doing against our mother nature ,trying to flourish us with her blessings and we are like sheikhchilli cutting our own roots.we realize that we are not the owner of the nature we are tenants trying to bossing the real owner of nature our plant and animal kingdom.now again they have shown us our place,we are nothing against the power of our nature God.now world become zoo of homo sapien sapiens trying to finished themself,kept in captivity for their own servival.our prabodhini training and Covid 19 had made our learning towards nature complete as if now.thanks sir thanks a lot for such life time apportunity to be so close to nature.

    1. Yes thr are many species are on the verge of extinctions.
      You can learn easily by books & by roaming in the nature (after corona effect gone)

  10. Definitely an effective task that brings people back to nature as well as to vast variety of biodiversity it caress. Moreover, it doesn’t burden up on their routine, and that’s really notable. Really commendable!
